Golden Jubilee Dinner - Are YOU coming?
As part of the Golden Jubilee Exhibition we are holding a celebratory dinner to mark the 50th year of the SPA.
This event is on Friday 16th April and will be held at the Reigate Manor Hotel, Reigate at 7:00 for 7:30 pm. The hotel is close to Junction 8 on the M25 and there is ample car parking.
The evening comprises a 3 course sit down dinner including coffee and a full bar service will be available. Dress lounge suits/smart casual - no jeans, trainers or tee-shirts.
Our guests for the evening will be President of the PAGB Don Langford CPAGB APAGB LRPS with Mrs Langford, and President of the RPS Rosemary Wilman Hon FRPS
We are also inviting all previous Chairmen of the SPA to attend.
Winners of the 7 SPA Trophies and 21 Selectors Ribbons will be presented with their awards during the evening if they choose to attend and we hope they will all do so.
Tickets are £20 per person inclusive of coffee and VAT
We can only accommodate a maximum of 150 for this event, and, as we will not know who the award winners are until the end of February we are initially reserving 50 tickets for their use.
Any tickets in this allocation which are not taken up by award winners will then be made available to all comers.
Applications for tickets will be handled on a strictly first come first served basis. Please email me initially at chairman@surreypa.org.uk to reserve tickets and post a printed copy as your confirmation together with a cheque made payable to Surrey Photographic Association to "SPA Dinner", 3 The Old Vicarage, Westcott Road, Dorking, Surrey RH4 3DP
Please also note any special dietary requirements.

You are welcome to bring wives, husbands or partners and we would like to encourage clubs to consider putting a party together.

New Year Message from the Chairman
The view from my office window towards Box Hill brings my best wishes to all clubs and their members for a successful 2010, which sees the 50th year of the Surrey Photographic Association which was founded on 24th September 1960 as the Surrey Photographic Federation.
To celebrate this milestone in our history, we have designated this years biennial exhibition as the Golden Jubilee Exhibition and this will also be the first year that we accept Projected Digital Images as entries.
We are continuing to accept conventional film slides, for this year at least, so there will be no less than 7 classes of entry available - Colour, Monochrome and Nature Prints, Open and Nature Slides and Open and Nature PDI’s.
The closing dates for entries are rapidly approaching (see Diary Dates) and we hope to see record entries !
Also associated with this event will be a celebratory dinner to be held at Reigate Manor Hotel on Friday 16th April at which the main awards and trophies will be presented.
