Some 40 people attended the workshop in Crawley today and witnessed a wide variety of work indicative of the standards required for the various awards.
Attendees were also able to spend time with each of several PAGB assessors discussing their own images and their suitability for entering for an award.

26 clubs entered the Open Class (520 images) and 20 the Nature Class (200 images). Around 100 people attended, not as many as last year but still a comparatively good turnout. Constructive reviews and comments welcome!

Good turnout at East Horsley yesterday- I counted about 120!

So, what did you think of the competition? We didn’t get as many entries as we hoped for but the decision to run each section twice with different sets of judges seemed to go down well and there was no doubt about the winners.
How was it for you?
New competition arrangements are being introduced by the SPA and there will also be an individual entry competition in conjunction with the AGM in November. Full details are now on the SPA website or you can download a pdf at http://www.surreypa.org.uk/

Another tremendous attendance at East Horsley Village Hall to witness the new-style SPA Print Championships and a closely fought battle between the clubs with a photo-finish at the end. (Sorry, couldn’t resist that.)
